As a well-travelled agency we are regularly invited to so-called familiarisation (fam) trips. These are information-gathering trips where a specific destination presents itself in its best light in the hope that we can then attract our customers. A fam trip to the Seychelles is an absolute highlight – especially since we had often considered the dream islands in the Indian Ocean for staff incentives but were always put off by the price and lack of infrastructure for groups.

So off went BUSINESS & NATURE Manager Aimé Sans at the end of January to the private island of Sainte Anne to visit the Beachcomber Resort. The hotel group has long specialised in incentive travel in Mauritius, providing discerning customers perfect service in paradise and at a price / performance ratio which doesn’t scare off your customers. Staying on Sainte Anne is like a Robinson Crusoe experience. The 220-hectare island is surrounded by one of the largest marine parks in the Indian Ocean. You can walk round it in about 3 hours. It is home to 87 luxurious villas, restaurants belonging to the resort and  a spa.  The characteristic Seychelles granite rocks include hills with lush vegetation.  There’s wild nature both above and below water, secluded bays and awesome beaches. It is difficult to imagine a nicer destination that better embodies the principles of incentive and motivation.

Aimé Sans, CEO and co-founder of the BUSINESS & NATURE GmbH has travelled extensively around the world, always on the lookout for something special. He says: “Real treasures aren’t found in stately buildings or at the bottom of a bottle of Dom Perignon, but in wild, solitary nature. There is nothing that touches the heart and soul like this.”
